Hopewell is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America, a denomination solely committed to the infallible Word of God. The PCA is one of the fastest growing denominations in North America, and of the ten Presbyterian denominations in North America, it is THE fastest growing one. Organized in 1973, the PCA is a relatively young denomination: yet it has become the largest conservative, evangelical Presbyterian body in the United States. Hopewell also belongs to the Fellowship Presbytery.
Although we cannot give you everything that we doctrinally hold to in this short space we can give you some highlights. For instance, we believe in:
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The Bible as the inerrant Word of the Living God.
Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, as the only Savior of men.
The substitutionary death of Christ as the only means of salvation.
The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The certainty of Christ's second coming to take us with Him to heaven.
The sovereignty of God over all events of the world and of our personal lives.
Hopewell is a church holding steadfast to Reformation principles in its adherence to the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Larger Catechism, and the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
